Mark the job complete, review the line items carried over from the quote, add anything that changed, and send. The customer gets an invoice page with a pay button.

Getting paid faster

From the Pro plan, HandyBook automatically emails customers about unpaid invoices and tells you what it sent. Pro also adds SMS delivery so the invoice lands where your customer actually looks.

If you use QuickBooks Online, Pro and Business can push invoices, customers and payments to QuickBooks so your bookkeeper is not re-entering anything.

How do customers pay a HandyBook invoice?

By card, through a secure Stripe payment page linked from the invoice. Funds go to your own connected Stripe account.

What does it cost to accept card payments?

Stripe’s standard card processing fees apply, plus a 0.5% HandyBook platform fee on payments collected through HandyBook.

Can HandyBook send invoice reminders automatically?

Yes, on Pro and Business. The platform follows up on unpaid invoices by email and logs what it sent.
