How does billing work?

Paid plans are billed monthly by credit card through Stripe, our payments processor. Your subscription renews automatically each month. You can view invoices, update your card, or cancel anytime from the billing portal at /dashboard/billing — no phone calls, no cancellation fees.

Three tiers: Starter ($44.99/mo) — jobs, quotes, invoices, customers, Stripe payments, reports. Pro ($119/mo) — adds the in-store POS register + hardware. Business ($299/mo) — adds CRM drip campaigns, customer pipeline, multi-location, AI tools, and white-label branding. Each tier includes 1 seat; additional seats are $29.99/mo flat across all tiers (so Starter with 3 seats is $44.99 + $29.99 × 2 = $104.97/mo).

Can I change my seat count?

Yes. Add or remove seats anytime from /dashboard/billing. Adding a seat bills pro-rata immediately; removing a seat becomes a credit on your next invoice. You cannot drop below your current active teammate count — remove teammates first from /dashboard/team.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every new account gets a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime during the trial at no cost. A card is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged until the trial ends.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers.

Does HandyBook take a cut of payments my customers make to me?

When your customer pays an invoice through the Stripe link we generate, Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) is deducted from your payout, plus a 0.5% HandyBook platform fee. On a $500 invoice that's $14.80 to Stripe and $2.50 to HandyBook — the rest goes straight to your connected Stripe account. Our 0.5% is less than a quarter of what tools like Jobber or Housecall Pro charge.

Can I get a refund?

We don't refund for partial months once a charge has processed. What we do offer is a real 14-day free trial — you aren't billed until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost. Is there a separate iOS app?

Yes — the HandyBook iOS app is included with every paid plan at no extra charge. It uses the same account as the web dashboard, so jobs, customers, and invoices sync automatically. Most teams run the web app from the office and use iOS in the field for photos, signatures, on-duty location, and card-on-file payments.

Yes! With HandyBook Pro, you can send professional quotes directly to your customer's phone via text message or email. They see a clean, branded web page where they can accept the quote with one tap.

Does it work offline?

You can view your existing jobs, customers, and quotes offline. New data will sync automatically when you reconnect to the internet. We designed the app to handle the spotty cell service you get in basements and crawl spaces.

Yes! HandyBook Pro supports team access. You can invite crew members to your account so they can view jobs, update statuses, and log time. Each team member gets their own login.
