Sending a Quote

Once a quote is built, send it to the customer with a link they can open and sign.

How to send

  1. Open the quote
  2. Click Send Quote (it becomes Resend Quote after the first send)
  3. In the Send quote dialog, choose a channel:
    • Email — to the customer's email on file
    • Text message — to their phone on file
    • Both — email and text together

Each option is disabled if there's no email/phone on the customer record. After sending, you get a confirmation email once it's delivered, and the quote status moves to Sent.

What the customer receives

A link to a clean, branded hosted quote page showing your company details, the line items, subtotals, tax, total, notes, and a signature area to accept. (See "E-Signature on Quotes.")

Tracking status

The quote's status reflects progress: Draft → Sent → Viewed → Accepted (or Declined / Expired). You can also set the status manually from the header dropdown.

Manually marking status

From the quote header you can:

  • Approve or Decline the quote (shown while it's Draft, Sent, or Viewed) — useful when a customer accepts verbally
  • Change the status directly with the status dropdown

FAQ

Can I send without an email? Yes — use Text message if the customer has a phone number on file.

How do I resend? Open the quote and click Resend Quote.

Where do I see if they opened it? The status updates to Viewed; an accepted (signed) quote shows as Accepted.

Can I send to both email and phone? Yes — choose Both in the send dialog (requires both on file).
