The Hosted Invoice Page

Every invoice you send has a secure, mobile-friendly web page the customer opens to view and pay it.

What's on it

  • Your company logo, name, address, and contact details
  • Bill To — the customer's name and address
  • The invoice number, dates, and itemized line items (Description, Qty, Unit Cost, Total)
  • Subtotal, Tax, Total, and Balance Due
  • Your Notes
  • A payment area (see below)

Paying online

If you've connected Stripe (Stripe Connect), the page shows the Amount Due and a Pay Now button. Clicking it sends the customer to a secure Stripe Checkout page to pay by card. After paying, the page shows "Paid in Full" with the date.

If Stripe isn't connected, the page shows your payment instructions (set in your company settings) under "How to pay," or asks the customer to contact you.

Security

  • Each link includes an unguessable access token, so only people you send it to can open it
  • The page is not indexed by search engines

Status

  • Unpaid invoices show the balance due and the pay option
  • Partially paid invoices show the amount paid and the remaining balance
  • Paid invoices show a "Paid in Full" badge with the payment date

FAQ

Does the customer need an account? No — they open the link and pay; nothing to sign up for.

What payment methods are available? Card via Stripe Checkout when Stripe Connect is on. Otherwise, follow your posted payment instructions.

Can I get the link to share myself? Yes — use Copy Pay Link on the invoice (shown when Stripe is connected and there's a balance due).

Will the page update after payment? Yes — once paid, it shows "Paid in Full."
