Pointing Review Requests at Google
HandyBook sends review requests to a single Review URL you provide. Set it to your Google review link and every request points customers straight to your Google review form. (Review Automation is a Business-plan feature; see Automated Review Requests.)
HandyBook does not connect to your Google Business Profile directly — there's no OAuth, review syncing, or replying from inside HandyBook. You supply the link; HandyBook does the asking.
Get your Google review link
- Search for your business on Google (or open your Business Profile)
- Click Ask for reviews / Get more reviews
- Google generates a short link — usually
https://g.page/r/... - Copy it
If you don't have a Google Business Profile yet, create one (free) at google.com/business — it's the single highest-impact thing for local visibility.
Set it in HandyBook
- Go to CRM → Reviews
- Paste the link into the Review URL field
- Click Save
- Use Open link beneath the field to confirm it opens your review page
That's it — completed jobs now queue a request that sends about 24 hours later, pointing customers to that link.
Reply to reviews on Google
Replying isn't done in HandyBook. Reply to every review — good and bad — from your Google Business Profile dashboard. Future customers read your replies, so a calm, professional response to a tough review matters.
FAQ
Can I use a Yelp or Facebook link instead? The Review URL accepts any link, but the feature is built around Google. Paste whichever review page you want customers to land on.
Does HandyBook show my Google reviews? No — it sends requests to your Google link. Your reviews live on Google.
My link doesn't open the review form — what's wrong? Re-copy the "Get more reviews" link from Google; some profile URLs don't trigger the review prompt. Test with Open link after saving.
