Custom Forms for Jobs

Custom forms let you capture structured information on a job — inspection checklists, walk-throughs, safety sign-offs, customer agreements. You build them once in the Forms area and fill them out on a job (the mobile app is great for on-site capture).

Building a form

  1. Go to Forms in the sidebar
  2. Click New form
  3. Add fields and save

Field types include:

  • Text — short answers
  • Multiline — longer notes and findings
  • Checkboxes — multiple-choice lists (e.g. "Areas inspected: Kitchen, Bathroom, Garage…")
  • Photo — attach photos to the response
  • Signature — capture a signature, with a required toggle

Each field can be marked required.

Starter template

Pressing Use sample inspection on the empty Forms screen gives you a ready-made "Pre-Service Inspection" form (property address, areas inspected, inspection photos, findings, and a required customer signature) you can edit to fit.

Using forms with jobs

A typical workflow is a quick walk-through form per visit — property details, a checklist, photos, and a customer signature. For full details on building, editing, and signature capture, see the Forms help category.

FAQ

Can a form require a signature? Yes — add a signature field and toggle it required.

Can a form collect photos? Yes — add a photo field. (For ad-hoc job photos that aren't part of a form, use the job's Photos tab instead.)
