Becoming an Affiliate

You don't sign up for the affiliate program yourself — the HandyBook team creates your affiliate account and sends you a personal setup link. This article walks you through accepting that invite and getting into your portal.

Step 1 — Get your invite

When the HandyBook team adds you as an affiliate, they generate your account and a setup link. Depending on how it's set up, you'll either:

Receive an email with a button to Create your account & start onboarding, or
Be sent the setup link directly (by text, in person, or another channel) — the team can copy your unique link and share it with you.

The link is tied to your account, so use the one sent to you. Invite links expire after 14 days, so don't sit on it too long.

Step 2 — Set your password

Open your setup link and create a password for your HandyBook account. This is the account you'll use to sign in at handymanbook.app from now on. If you already had a HandyBook account under the same email, the team can promote that account instead — in which case you just sign in normally.

Step 3 — Sign in and start onboarding

Once your password is set, you land on the affiliate onboarding flow. Before you can open your affiliate dashboard, you must review and sign your partnership agreement. (See Signing Your Agreement & Onboarding Checklist for the step-by-step.)

The moment you sign, two things happen automatically:

Your free Business plan activates.
You're offered a one-click sample-data import so you can explore the full product.

Already have the program but can't see it?

If you go to Dashboard → Affiliate and see a message that you're "not currently set up as a HandyBook affiliate," your account hasn't been linked to the program yet. Email partners@handymanbook.app and the team will set you up with a code in your name.

FAQ

I lost my invite email — what do I do? Email partners@handymanbook.app. The team can re-send your setup link or copy a fresh one from your account in the admin console.

My invite link expired. Links expire after 14 days. Just ask the team to re-issue it.

Can I use my existing HandyBook login? Yes, if your affiliate account was created in "Promote existing user" mode against the same email. In that case there's no new password to set — sign in as usual and the onboarding flow appears.

Do I have to pay anything to start? No. The program is free to join, and you get a free Business plan when you sign your agreement.
