Password & Sign-In
You sign in to HandyBook with your email and password. Sign-in is protected by a quick Cloudflare security check to keep bots out — wait for its green tick (or tick the box if asked) before signing in.
Changing your password
- Go to Dashboard → Settings.
- In the Account card, click Change Password.
- Enter a new password — at least 8 characters. A strength meter (Weak / Medium / Strong) updates as you type; longer passwords with a mix of upper-case, numbers, and symbols rate stronger.
- Re-enter it in Confirm Password.
- Click Update Password.
You'll see "Password updated successfully."
Forgot your password
- On the login screen, use the forgot password link.
- Enter your email.
- Check your inbox for a reset email and follow the link to set a new password.
Auth emails (confirmation, password reset, magic link, team invites) are sent from handymanbook.app. If you don't see one, check spam, and make sure you're using the email that's on your account.
Active sessions
Everywhere you're signed in is listed on the Security page (Settings → Security & 2FA), with your current device marked. You can:
- Revoke a single session to sign that device out, or
- Revoke all other sessions to sign out everywhere except your current device.
Use this if you used a shared computer or suspect someone else has access.
Two-factor authentication
For stronger protection, turn on 2FA with an authenticator app — see Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
FAQ
The security check won't let me through. Wait for the check to show its green tick before signing in. If it keeps failing, refresh the page, or turn off ad blockers and VPNs that may block challenges.cloudflare.com.
I never got the password-reset email. Check spam, confirm you used the right email, and remember reset/confirmation emails come from handymanbook.app.
Is there a minimum password length? Yes — 8 characters minimum. Longer is better; aim for the Strong rating.
Can I sign out of a device I lost? Yes — revoke its session from the Security page.
Don't share logins. Give each person their own seat from the Team page — it's more secure and gives you a per-user activity trail.
