Logo, Colors & Branding
Brand customization lives at Dashboard → Settings → Branding. It's a Business feature — on Starter or Pro you'll see the page dimmed behind the upgrade modal. Everything you set here drives your customer-facing emails and customer portal, and a live preview on the right shows both as you edit.
Logo
In the Logo card, click Upload logo (or Replace logo if one's set). Accepted formats are PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG, recommended at least 256 × 256. After uploading you'll see "Logo uploaded — remember to save." Use Remove to clear it. Your logo appears in the email header and the customer portal; if none is set, HandyBook shows a clean placeholder.
Colors
The Colors card has two pickers:
- Primary — drives buttons and the email header.
- Accent — used for highlights (it blends with Primary on the portal banner).
Use the swatch to open the color picker, or type a hex value like #2A6BB5. A green check confirms a valid #RRGGBB code.
Font
The Font card sets the typeface used in customer-facing emails and the customer portal. Pick from the dropdown and the sample line ("The quick brown fox…") updates instantly.
Custom subdomain (portal)
The Custom subdomain card reserves a branded slug for your customer portal: portal. + your slug + .handymanbook.app. Type lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (up to 32 characters). Saving here reserves the slug; the actual DNS provisioning happens later.
This is the customer portal subdomain. Your public marketing site uses a separate address — see Your Public Website.
Support contact
The Support contact card holds a Support email and Support phone. These appear in the email footer and on the customer portal so clients can reach you.
Legal links
The Legal links card lets you override HandyBook's defaults with your own Terms URL and Privacy URL — useful for white-labeling.
Saving
A Save branding button sits at the bottom of the form (and floats as you scroll). Nothing applies until you click it; you'll see "Branding saved." The live preview reflects your unsaved edits immediately so you can dial it in before saving.
FAQ
My logo looks fuzzy in emails — what's wrong? Upload a larger source image (512 × 512 or more). Very small logos look soft when scaled.
Can I use an SVG? Yes — SVG is accepted alongside PNG, JPG, and WebP.
Where do these settings show up? The email header/footer and the customer portal. Use the Live preview panel to see both before saving.
Is branding available on Starter or Pro? No — it's a Business feature. The page previews dimmed with an upgrade prompt until you're on Business.
